Finally received authorization for me to return to Canada. While I am fully-vaccinated (2 Jabs), the issue is that Canada does NOT recognize the immunization that Mexico was giving (Sonova). So, I'm being considered as being a "non-vaccinated" person. I must within 72 hrs before entering Canada, stop and be PCR tested IN THE USA and await NEGATIVE results before being allowed to proceed to the USA/CANADA border. Immediately upon entering Canada, while at Canada Customs, I must immediately take another Covid PCR Test (what they consider as being Day-1 tested). Once being cleared to proceed into Canada, I must travel directly to my place of residence and enter into a Government-mandated 14-day self-quarantine. Daily, I must Check-in and report that I am NOT showing any signs of having Covid. I must also report the NEGATIVE test results upon receiving them. Then again on Day-8, I must undergo my 2nd Coved PCR Test, performed on-line with a Dynasty Lab Health Nurse, who must witness and confirm my taking of the test. On my next daily check-in, I must report that I HAVE performed the COVID PCR test and have returned the sample to the lab for testing. Again, I must report the results upon receipt.
At anytime, I could be visited by the "COVID COPS" to ensure that I am indeed alone within my mandated 14-Day quarantine period. Then, on Day-15, I must await an e-mail confirmation from the Government that I am now allowed to be 'released" from quarantine, and begin living a 'normal' life once again, remaining fully masked as per guidelines. I must also get vaccinated once again (with a Canadian approved vaccine) twice.
Now, you'all must think I'm absolutely crazy to leave the warm (hot) climate of Mexico to return just in time for the colder "winter weather" to begin. But, with the Delta strain hitting Canada hard, the Federal & Provincial Governments are once again beginning to impose further restrictions. SO THE TIME TO GO IS NOW. I have and do not own any cold climate clothes (I live in shorts) so shopping is gonna have to happen (and soon!). Did I mention that I hate winter & snow?!! Guess I'll just have to "suck it up, buttercup" before I return to Mexico once again.

So, once my 14-day quarantine is over, and being officially 'released', I'm looking forward to being able to get to the bank, get a brick of Canadian notes, and start making daily entries once again (especially now that I've received my promotion to a Master Tracker!!)😉🙏
One good thing about being in quarantine is that I'll have lots of time to continue drinking Margaritas 😂😂.
