My staff are too cheap to buy and share things like the candy and cookies mentioned in this thread. I on the other side Love to help spur the young peoples first step into the world of business where simply holding out your hand and asking for donations with offering nothing in return is not acceptable. I fully agree with having the young people selling something to obtain funds required for their end goal. Now do I really need 72 boxes of Girl Guide Cookies NO however if I ignited a spark in any of these young girls to think about a future in business, then I am very happy. It took a long time to give away all those cookies and explain how come I had them … but that night when those Girls and there Over watch walk down my sidewalk with their biggest sale of the month , they were not the only ones with smiles on their faces. My smile was just as large and it gave me that warm feeling inside. Now my wife thought I had gone off the deep end and questioned why but in the end she just summed it up as me being a real nice guy. Would I do it again? In a heart beat.
