The change in date definitely made a difference by about 15 degrees. The first arrivals retreated to the cook shack to visit while the briquettes were lit. It was a warm one in the sun. The golfers (BDK, Pooga & Sarge) had to drive all over looking for a place to play. They forgot their skirts, so were not allowed to enter the womens golf tournament that was being held at the Craik course. They found a course at Davidson. Results were: Pooga claimed second place, Sarge wound up in third, but poor BD finished third last.

The burgers and buns were excellent as usual. We had both onions and cheese this year. There were three flippers on hand ( no flipping burgers with sharpened sticks). There was beer, coke and sprite for the thirsty, potato salad and cheese doodles. The official gathering desert was present as well as donuts. No one bocced hungry.

As expected, with the arrival of BDK the sun ran away. (I think I have cracked it, he drives a sunchaser!) There was a little shower while we ate, but that was all. The clouds stayed and made the afternoon very enjoyable.
