Point 1
Each person should buy the tickets & post the numbers to the site.
A) cut off time - needs to be discussed ( Friday [day of draw ]Noon ) my suggestion ( day of draw if we go past just super 7 tickets ( 6/49))
For cut off time a few minutes give or take shouldn't be a big deal as long as they are posted b4 the draw has taken place. The lottery ticket deadline is well b4 the draw as well, so all we would have to worry about is if someone posted a losing ticket # the next day if the group won.
Point #2
Each draw should have 1 subject title. thus carries follow the same subject title.. such that free plays ' follow up winnings tickets are posted to such Super 7 April 30th '04 postings.
Winnings distributes . Paypal & Hyperwallet are both very efficient & fast.
Winning on anything over $10. as there is usually a jump if you win more that $10 up to around $100 for the ticket.. so depending how many people play that is more than a few $ each.
Point 3 ( A MUST )
Anyone who doesn't post their #'s and extra ( encore ) # .
Is not in the current draw.
( this makes it so it is not madatory to participate.. if youw ant to drop out for small draws you can)
Point 4 All tickets should be same value.. $5 pack is most consistent.. :)
& We need to beg DR to create a new forum for this.. as in general or anywhere else is not good.
All of your points seem to fall in line or add to those already made. I think the only one that needs to be looked at further is the distribution of any substantial prize money. I believe that there are some legal/financial issues dealing with a group win.. I indicated earlier that I would look into this and report back, probably not until Monday afternoon.
One note worth mentioning is that no one under the age of 18 can participate leagaly unless a parent or gaurdian buys the ticket for them and posts it for them. When checking into legal issuses we should also check into this just in case someone under age posts a ticket or if it is not legal with parent consent.Do not want anyone to get into trouble.Should be fun thought.
Im wondering about the payout. If we have say 25 people play and win a $100 thats only $4 each, I thought pay pal charges to use it? would it really be worth going through the hastle of paying 25 people and covering what paypal charges? if they charge, Im not sure.
-DR probably won't create a forum for this as it has nothing to do with tracking money (yet)… Better to create a mail group in Outlook Express and do this off forum
-someone should commit the rules to paper, with a proviso: "anyone posting lottery numbers as part of this lottery purchase group agrees to the rules herein, and agrees to sharing any prizes won on their posted ticket as a shared prize with the other participants"
-when I suggested Paypal and HyperWallet, I was only thinking of contributing to the ticket fund where tickets are purchased centrally. If each person buys a ticket and posts the numbers, this would be unnecessary. If we won a big prize, I could wait a few days for the cheque.
-"Point 3 ( A MUST )" this does not deal with the issue of free plays and small winnings carried over into the next draw. If I may suggest: treat each draw as a completely seperate game. Free plays are shared only by the group that won them, and small ($10) winnings should be used to buy tickets to be shared only with the original group. If someone drops out, or another person joins, this is really the only fair way to handle these situations. If you do it this way, you simply call your mail group 'CMT April XX group members', and information on these free plays and re-invested winnings go only to those concerned. Once the free plays and re-invested small winnings are gone, that group can be deleted. Simple.
-to begin with, though, I suggest we move this discussion to regular e-mail- agreed?
sounds good… if u need any help doing anything just ask as I have no life right now hehe… well no work life yet :)
Well Idjit Point 2 dealt with small winings on tickets.
If DR will not create another forum for us then we will either need to move it to contest forum, or forget the idea.
I think we should all see the ticket #'s posted on the site.
with anonymous email not everyone would see all the ticket numbers posted on time.
Suggested - if DR does create a forum for us, maybe we could consider CMT web site an equal participant each draw.
This will help pay for our site for years to come & for work that is done on it.

EXCELLENT suggestion, thanks LC
I also think this is a great idea.
"…with anonymous email not everyone would see all the ticket numbers posted on time…"
Well, opinionated sot that I am, I'd have to say this: Trust is good, but I'd prefer to know who I am going to share a 30 million dollar winning ticket with. Anonymous e-mail isn't going to cut it. Those who are little shy can keep their e-mail addresses private on the site, but the nature of our relationship requires a little more openness, methinks.
"If DR will not create another forum for us then we will either need to move it to contest forum, or forget the idea." There are other options, and I think we'd better consider them, because DR probably won't start a forum for this. How about AOL Instant Messanger. Set up our CMT list of lottery contributors there. It's chat so communication would be fast.
I will follow whatever anyone else is doing but what about electing one person to have the ticket e-mailed to that person by a certain day such as Thursday midnight. The ones that are in on the lottery for that week would scan the ticket and e-mail a copy of the ticket to the designated person. I elect idjit…all those in favor of that say good idea lol….I for one have no idea how to post my ticket on the site (blonde)(big time blonde) LOL.
WELL THANKS MAGGIE. there goes my thoughts that you were brunette. either natural or was but is gone and is made that way again.
I am game for anything (always try anything once)..
I like the idea of group email posting, as the comment about dr not creating is forum for this, isnt really fair for him to be doing so in this.
soooooooooo Idjit … my orders for you are: start the email group.. my email addy is turbo@missbeehaven.com.
Go gettem!
I'm game and aol sounds good or even msn for communication. I have a scanner as well if anyone needs to use it… well off to bed now since early day at the docs :)
K… I've done a little work on this project- if anyone wants to see what's in store if I do this thing, e-mail me and I'll send you my idea- it's just way too big to post here. Use juker@sasktel.net
Hopefully we can acheive some consensus and move this project along. I warn, y'all though, I insist on agreement before we start…
All this talk of lottery pools has relegated the hit guesses to page 4. Just wanted to point that out.
and your point ? lol sorry jk!!
The T-Shirt is mine anyways for the contest for the hit guesses, so you guys can quit guessing lolol
MAGGIEMAE YOU READ MY MIND I HAD ASKED IDJIT BY PRIVATE EMAIL IF I COULD PUT HIS NAME FORWARD TO RUN THE SHOW AND THEN I CAME IN HERE AND YOU WERE DOING THE SAME AS I HAD JUST ASKED HIM. I FOR ONE WOULD JUST LIKE TO GIVE BEN $100.00 FOR THE NEXT 20 DRAWS AND HAVE HIM HANDLE THE TICKET PURCHASES THEN I KNOW I AM IN FOR SURE AS HE WORKS WITH THIS STUFF ALL THE TIME AND I WOULD TRUST HIM IN A FLASH. IF YA CANNOT TRUST BEN THEN WE HAVE A REAL PROBLEM. HE HAS MY VOTE 200%. IDJIT PLEASE LET ME KNOW WHEN YOU GET THINGS WORKED OUT AND WHEN I CAN BRING YOU MY MONEY. AS IDJIT CAN TELL ANYONE CONCERNED THE LOTTERY TERMINAL CAN SELL YOU TICKETS FOR MORE THAN ONE DRAW AT A TIME AND THAT IS WHAT I WOULD DO AS WANT TO BE IN EVERY DRAW AND NOT MISS OUT. SO MY VOTE IS FOR IDJIT ALL THE WAY.
Due to a family emergency, I will not be able to participate in anything this week. I will be spending my time at the hospital or just sleeping at home- I doubt if I will be on the site at all for the next week. I am sorry for letting all you Super7'ers down this way after stirring so much interest in this project.
I'll know more later this week, and I'll keep you posted.
Thanks for your patience,
Idjit
