But not for a money tracking website. Some kind of skate company. Just wondered if anyone has come across a bill with a non money tracking site stamped on it. I only stamped one side of the bill. I was excited when I saw the stamp, but disappointed when I saw it wasn't a CMT bill.
I found a fifty that had a website for a skateboard shop in Saskatoon. That was back in March, I stamped it and let it go.
I found "Money for Marijuana" stamp on a bill!
That was before I came to this site.
That is my biggest fear… that commercial companies will see our idea and start marking bills also. Once that starts to happen, you can guarantee that marking bills in ANY way will become illegal. :( Not sure what we can do about it though.

well, if that happens, it'll be just as much fun…. because when you enter a bill you won't know until you enter it if it's yours or someone else's.
I'd still enter just like normal. It would also be less work!!! (not saying I mind stamping of course)
I don't think you understand what I mean; I'm saying it company's start stamping their company's website on it, the government is going to ban all bill marking for sure.

Wasn't there a bar or something in Calgary that started putting stickers on loonies advertising their business, and the bank cracked down on them, using the excuse that they were using currency to conduct a business?
If we can find that reference, we could contact the offending skateboard company warning them of the trouble they can get into.
In our case,(and the other money tracking sites), since it isn't a business…not even selling advertising, we are not doing it for the purpose of profit, so at the moment we are OK.
I understood what you meant. What i meant was whether or not we were allowed to Stamp, I would still enter all my bills. I just wouldn't stamp them. Then there would be no way for users to know whether or not a bill was already in the system. It wouldn't bother me. I would continue anyways. It would still be fun because every unstamped bill would possiby be already in the system, which would be fun to find out.
Anyways, what I'm trying to say, is that even if we weren't allowed to stamp the bills, I would continue with the site, I just wouldn't stamp.
Cowboys in Downtown Calgary was putting stickers on quarters advertising for wing night or something. I had one of the coins but spent it. :(
Ya, and "Metro" on Macleod Trail was putting stickers on quarters a couple years back; maybe on loonies also.

Stickers on Quarters? holy man, that is stretching it, no? I'd probably refuse the coin at the bank if someone ever brought me that… Hopefully people wont abuse the stamping of bill, so that we can continue the fun of this site.
