I've looked on this website for 15 minutes looked through all the catagories but I can not find a single place to look up a serial number of a 5 dollar bill I got today. Very frustrating.
The bill is a 5 dollar bill with the serial number APZ0747742
I can't afford to spend anymore time trying to find a place on here to look up this bill. I live in Victoria B.C. Canada
Welcome to CMT. Enter your own bills and keep track of them. It can be alot of fun. And………… thank you for the hit on one of my bills. Cya around!
Well, I think it's bad that you dont read what you see… it's right in the middle of the starting page !!
The system opffers you to join the gang… or just add the note.
I wonder how you found the forums !
:-) :-)
As discussed before, things aren't vary clear.
I remember when I joined up, I had the same problem.
When I read "add note" I thought it meant add a note or post to the forums. I think being right in the middle of the starting page, Sandwiched between "home" & "forums" was part of the problem. The other problem being that 95% of people that I know call them BILLs not notes.
I see people sign in daily, create a user name & then don't enter a BILL. I usualy PM them the folowing
("Hi, if you found a marked note (a bill with this website stamped or written on it)
you need to click on the "add Note" button or tab & enter the bills serial # .
Three letters first, then 7 #s.
Then you will see the history of your bill.
Its fun to see where you money has been.
Make sure you enter all marked bills you come across!
Any questions just "Private Message" me.
Have fun tracking.")
Often times these people come back on & enter their bill!, thanking me & stating they where confused.

Good job Mike…Keep up the good work…
The other problem being that 95% of people that I know call them BILLs not notes
It's too bad 95% of people don't know their own currency. In the US, they are 'bills'. In Canada, they are officially and legally called 'banknotes', or 'notes' for short.
We should probably say 'banknote'. Although in this case, the subject line seems to indicate that the user was aware of it.
Pooga Pooga Pooga The other problem being that 95% of people that I know call them BILLs not notes
I never hear a Canadian say here is a five dollar note if you look and listen to people in Banks they say five dollar bills and twenty dollar bills . Seldom very very seldom do you hear a person ask for 20 dollar notes. or small notes ??? Small Bills please no fiftyy or hundred dollar bills. Lets call them what most of Canadians call them.
I agree.
But you'll have to convince dr, not me.
