Just went down to the basement and my carpet is wet! Hope it's only from the washer hose being slightly out of place and not from plumbing problems. My toilet downstairs is making glug-glug noises and doesn't want to retain its usual water level. There's too much snow outside to have to start taking stuff out of the basement.

LOOK TO THE ROOF AND SEE IF YOUR VENT PIPE IS PLUGGED (COVERED WITH SNOW) OR SOMETHING IN PIPE. LAKE OF AIR CAN CAUSE SUCH A PROBLEM.

Good Luck mesmerize!! Something happened to my pump Thurs and the plumber didn't come until Saturday. My septic backed up and I had to clean the floor all day. We have to turn the pump on manually until he comes back with the part. Sat night my son had friends over and I went out, the toilet wasn't flushed right and ran and ran and I spent Sunday cleaning the basement again!!! So anyways my house doesn't smell like roses!!!! Hope your problem isn't too big!!
Okay mesmerize remain calm…that is the most important thing. Now next, lay down for about 1 hour and then here is the nasty part…..START BUILDING YOUR SELF AN ARK…..AND HURRY UP..if you need a rest which I suggest…mark bills and spend the money on really really good lumber for your ARK. :-)
Thanks to everybody for your input. I haven't had any more water on the floor, but then I haven't done laundry since then either. I still have some glug-glug from the basement toilet, so I'll have to leave a message for the landlord to check out the vent.
Haven't been here in a few days…work and sleep are all I have energy for right now. I found out Tuesday that I have tonsillitis AND strep throat…so that's why I'm so tired and my voice keeps disappearing!?! (Yes, I know strep's contagious, but I started feeling sick the night of January 4th.)
I noticed that I've gotten 7 HITs this week while I've been ill…. I guess I've found another way, besides leaving town, to get hits.
P.S maggiemae, do you have the blueprints for that ark? LOL
