Well, I finally met dr in the flesh! (So to speak, there ain't much meat on his bones!)
So we set a time and place to meet. 9AM, in the parking lot between IKEA and Tim Horton's. (He has to be in Edmonton for noon, and the location is on his way out of town) Light rain falling. dr shows up at 10AM. Pooga is coffeed-out and soaked!
Things looking up when dr brings his GF along (and she's a Uke from near Dauphin!). At least there is one ray of sunshine at the meeting!
Anyway, make introductions, exchange packages. (How was the IPA???)
Have pretty good talk on several subjects. Next time, we try to make it so that we have more time to talk. All's well that ends well!
dr shows up at 10PM
First, it was 10AM, not 10PM (let's not exagerate!). Second, we arrived at 9:35am and then I wandered around IKEA looking for Pooga, thinking he would either be in front on inside. Ali even made me go look again and then drive around the parking lot looking for your car.. Finally we gave up and saw you just as we were about to head to Edmonton. It was purely by fluke that I happened the see you at the Tim Horton's there (which was hidden on the way in).
Anyway, the beer was good (thanks for that), especially since it was so hot in Edmonton. I haven't tried the IPA yet as I was saving it for when I got back here.
How are the cigarattes? Hope they are okay. It was hard to get both of those as I don't speak Italian or whatever language the guy in Switzerland was speaking. :) And they all wanted to sell me Marboro's for whatever reason.
And ya, it was fun to finally put a face to the name.

I could have come met up.. I was in that particular parking lot than, at the Harvey's, it was 10:30, after bowling. It was the Ikea in the NE, right? Doesn't matter I guess. But hope you had fun.
Well we were talking for quite a while and yeah, it was next to Harvey's.
I think we finished about 10:40.
So if you saw 2 guys and a gal talking in the parking lot, that was us.
