Of the 320 $10 notes I recieved at the station yesterday only 18 were the old style $10 note - almost all are the new style - they really didn't waste any time taking all those bills out of circulation.
PS. - not a normal sales day , my station price is 88.9 where as the rest of the city is still at 97.9 here in Regina
88.9 please sent me 500 gallons of regular. can i pay in marked bills and when can i expect delivery.
Ya, I saw an old one the other day and thought to myself that it was the forst one in a long time that I've seen in circulation. I see more older style fives than tens, I wonder why.
Wow, it sounds like you have way more old tens out there than here in southern Ontario, lucky you. I haven't seen one in circulation in ages (and our gas is in the eighties as well, BTW - can you believe it went down to 74 cents last week?!?!)
I think there are more old fives around because they're a smaller demonimation. As contrary as that sounds, it makes sense when you think that people are more likely to save them or keep them as change somewhere and forget about them until later. That's my guess, anyways…

My theory is that the $10 bill was the most frequently counterfited, so insted of check every $10 bill for valitidy burn them shred them what ever they do, there was a rash of them this way, I'm happyier with the new $50's the bank found one when I was depositing it, they wouldn't even let me kiss it bye bye
Sorry, I didn't get it…The bank took your new 50?

The bank found one (old 50 that was counterfeit) when I was depositing it, they wouldn't even let me kiss it bye bye.
An old $50. This happened about 2-3 years ago. The bank told me it was a fake…..being a little shocked I wanted them to prove it.
They held it over a piece of white paper took their finger sponge and dribbled water over it. The ink ran right off the bill. Then took my name address phone#.
In a few days I recieved a call from the RCMP asking me all kinds of questions.
You're lucky. At least they were interested. I've turned in bills where the police looked at ME funny because I did the right thing. I was made to feel like I was wasting their time. I may be a kook, but they shouldn't make me feel like a kook…
