It seems to me like people don't use money very much. More and more it is an electronic transaction. This makes it harder and harder to get hits. Have the longer term users of this web site noticed a kind of decline in hits?

Nope. Just the opposite in fact. Since the banks have been having so many computer problems lately, it seems that more cash is being used, especially for small transactions.

Add to that the growing fears of identity theft stemming from the use of credit and debit cards, along with the more secure features of the new bank notes, and you have a consumer who is beginning to use more cash.

Not only that, CMT is singlehandedly changing the enonomic habits of Canadians by convincing them that cash is not only safer, but fun!

Also with all the scamming that is going around with the plastics, I think more and more people will be afraid of using their cards, especially our generation.

Can I add another comment some people may not thought of??

ATM direct purchases were around b4 this site was very big, if not completely b4 this site was around.

It might make it difficult to tell if we woulda had more hits say pre 1990. about when I believe Interact Direct Payment became available.
