query on stats for the seasoned vets

hi

i thought i'd start a thread that has nothing to do with moral dilemmas. :) i am fascinated by the statistics of the hits and two that i have been watching are (valid tonight when i checked):

Bills per Hit: 12.31286 and Bill Value: $ 16.40

i have noticed, just in the time i've been watching, that the "Bills per Hit" statistic has been dropping fractionally and the "Bill Value" parameter has been creeping higher ever so slowly. has anyone else been watching these values for longer? the former trend is to be expected with greater awareness and acceptance (and possibly more bills) but i feel that the latter suggests that more and more 10s, 20s and 50s are being hit. what do you think?

I haven't been watching or tracking these stats but as you say the bills per hit should be dropping.

The average bill value is for bills entered, not the bills hit. I figured out the average value of hit bills was $10.82.

So, this means that more users are entering larger denominations, not getting hits on big bills. Since there are more fives hit than anything else many users had just dealt in them. But it may be that some users are now entering their fifties and hundreds.

Actually I've entered more hundreds than fives but I would be the exception.

The first stat has changed. When dr first programmed that one in I believe that it was about 45 bills for every hit. Number of possible reasons; heightened awareness, better marking, fewer bills being taken out of circulation, etc.

As kayfbee mentioned, the second is the average bill value of all bills entered. That one has been rising as people enter more larger bills. I think that HOGGS and CJ are mainly responsible for that! :-)
