I just added a 20$ note and cdn-money classified it as a 1991 bill. But it's a NEW 20$ bill… And it is not a counterfeit one…
The serial is : ALM5***624

i agree, this is an error and likely will be corrected in due course. thanks for finding that!
Just a question… Why hiding the serial number?
If you enter the entire serial number it is then available for entry by anyone that happens to see it.
very good question! serial numbers when listed on this site are commonly shown with the middle three digits as ***. this is because the aim of the site is to track the normal flow of banknotes. if an entire s/n is listed, it is a temptation for others to enter it as if they had found it in normal circulation and thus give a "false hit". that, in our circles, is considered a form of "cheating". the solution to this is the current practice. there was nothing pejorative intended in the editing of your post!
Good point!!! I didn't tought about that. It's a very good reason to hide them.
