I finally had a hit that travelled somewhere substantial. Only about 130 kms (or so the system says) but it had to take a 2 hour ferry ride to get to Victoria, Vancouver Island from Pitt Meadows…

It's always exciting. I'm waiting for one of mine to leave the province.
I got an <a href= http://www.cdn-money.com/cdnmoney/servlet/cmtViewBill?ID=240917 target=_new> Island hit too! </a>Whoops, wrong island….
Also my furthest travelled bill!
That distance must be as the crow flys.. I drove to PEI and back a few years ago and put 10,500kms on the car I was driving. Take off some kms for touring and 3700 each way is still way short of how far you have to drive..
You'll note that it was one of the bills I picked up in Calgary as well.
Have to check that distance out with dr. Anybody know a website where I can do that? Mapquest only does US locations.

Sorry pooga no help here..
Here in BC we have a site called www.mybc.ca
I enter a starting point and a ending point and get the KM and time it will take. Sask must have something similar. It's in with the telephone service.
AUTOMAP, a north american road atlas (software) puts Calgary to Charlottetown at 5111 kms as the shortest route, going thru upper michigan. Of course if you want it as the crow flies, get a globe and a piece of string to figure it out.
The amazing convenience of the Internet, and I still have to go out and buy a globe!
I assure you that 3700 is the correct great circle distance, that is the distance from A to B as the crow flies and accounting for the fact that we live on a sphere.

Why buy a globe? Somehow get the GPS(thats Global Positioning System for the dull ones) and figure it out.
