Found Note (on floor)

Here's one that I would consider a little unusual. Someone gave me a hit on a note I had entered. They found the note at a restaurant .
I guess they must have found it on the floor or ground. Interesting! A little bit different than being received as change.

it is actually not THAT unusual. there is a component of society that believes, for whatever bizarre reason, that stamped money is either counterfeit or being tracked by "the authorities". so they will discard a stamped note… especially if they are into nefarious dealings and do not want to lay a trail. over the years, we have seen multiple instances of "found money" being entered into the site.

….it takes all kinds

The three times I found money at my previous work and a couple times in fast-food restaurants, I'm pretty sure it was dropped by mistake. However, not knowing who dropped the money, as there was no-one at the counter/in the hallway/in the entryway, I kept it and entered it as "found".
