I've been keeping track of the marked bill 'sightings' I have been getting lately. On average, I see a marked bill (not including mine) almost every day at work for the last three weeks. The problem is, I work in a very busy store with two tills. Often, by the time I get back to record the marked bill, its been given out as change by the other clerk (they don't share my enthusiasm for this hobby).
I'm beginning to get the knack of hiding the bills so I can find them later. So, my apologies to some of you, I really try to record all the bills, but a few still slip through my net.
The other problem I have is when my own bills come back to the store. I try to 'boot them out' as soon as I can, since they do no good in my till. It's frustrating because I am usually trying to pass marked bills already, then I get one back…rats!
