No show

I had a hit today didn't show up on the hit list.

That's because the hit was from 3 days ago, it just happened to be entered today. If you look at all entries, whether hits or not, two dates are tracked; the date the bill was "received/hit" and the date the bill was entered. Most fo the times the two dates are the same, but if I get a bill on Saturday and don't have a chance to enter it until Monday, then the dates will differ.
