Many of his entries seem suspicious. For example, he entered several notes on January 27, all with the same prefix. If dr had more time, he would deal with the abuse of this site by some users.

BANKCOLLECTOR

POOGA why would bills with same prefix seem strange I personally pick up mpney from the bank and get many of the same prefix and if the have new bills then get full stacks of same prefix. And how many of us do not have stealth bills out there. I use to have lots when I took the time to record every serial number before I put them into slots now I do not even bother I just send them on their way unmarked and not entered. I have hit many unmarked yet entered bills during my time on this site and am surprised to see the hit but not suspicious. Heck I use to go to the royal bank and cash a cheque for $5000.00 and ask for it all in fives. At the time they were known to have new bills so those complete stacks would all be same prefix.

The problem with the entries is that the prefix for many of the notes are the same but the note numbers are all over the map, with no semblance of being sequential. That is the part that seems most unusual.

BANKCOLLECTOR

okay I can see that. I guess it all depends on the number of bills entered someone with only a few bills should not have many repeat prefix but as you enter more bills the same prefix will show up over and over. Oh well nothing I can do I am only a member without any authority around here or control over anyones actions but my own.

On Jan. 27, 2009, 39 notes entered, 36 of them ANV($5). None sequential. Suspicious numbers such as 1111, 2222, 33***33, etc.

On Aug 19, 2008, 50 notes entered, all ELM ($50). None sequential.

On Jan 12, 2008, 13 notes entered, all AHA ($50). None sequential.

Also, many of his hits, and hits given are rather strange. Examples:

http://www.cdn-money.ca/cdnmoney/servlet/cmtViewNote?ID=3585328

http://www.cdn-money.ca/cdnmoney/servlet/cmtViewNote?ID=3545898

And many hits are like this:http://www.cdn-money.ca/cdnmoney/servlet/cmtViewNote?ID=3107431

Why wasn't a stamp noticed on any of his hits? Were they ALL stealth? And on the hits he gives, he does not mention a stamp.

Draw your own conclusions. This is not a democracy. We might adopt the idea that everyone is guilty until proven innocent.

I allways put STEALTH on the comments for my unmarked entries.
I once entered a unmarked bill, & it gennerated a Hit, it was 1 of waynewat1's.
I left it as a Stealth, and spent it.
It would be nice if we could add a second comment to our entries, ie. where we spent it, or if it was a stealth hit.
As it is now you dont know its a stealth hit untill you enter it & then its too late to add a comment.
We could then say if we stamped it or left it stealth.

I looked at some of his hits a while ago, too, and noticed that he and zachy seemed to have a lot of hits back and forth between each other. But that's inconclusive, too, I suppose.

you know for some reason I can some what remember that it might be written in pencil….don't know for sure.

Remind me to take your investigation class. You should be the site policeman and given authority to act on your findings you have made a very stong case on this one.

BANKCOLLECTOR

bullies? i think not we have some long time members who take it personally if the site is abused and so we should i am all for site police to act upon items like this and has nothing to do with bullies or life after or off the site. pooga is a fair and level headed person who bases his actions on the facts i would back his actions 100%.

Onetobeseen

It looks like Pooga did some good investigating.

Anyways
My thought is that it creates a unlevel playing field for others who are trying to play the game fairly and by the principles of the money tracking game. I think thats what was trying to be said….
But maybe I am putting too much thought into it. But I think it is a reasonable issue

From the FAQs:
What is this site all about? This site is all about Canadian money, and where across the country the money has been. When you enter in a note, the system saves all the information in our database. Then, if someone else comes along and enters that same note, a hit occurs and you will be able to see who else has had that particular note and even better, where the heck the note has been.

False entries diminish the enjoyment of all those who agree with the above statement. Any hits on those entries do not truly reflect the movement of banknotes. And for us closet statisticians, it also skews the data that has been collected to date.

Hey souljaboy,
It sounds like you are the angry RUDE villager!
Some of us may take our fun seriously, thats our buisiness.
We dont need someone telling us to get a life.
We have lives away from this site, I just come here for fun.

Get a life

as if posting comments about a person's chosen lifestyle is a fruitful expenditure of effort. :)

whatever… just sounds like a comment from someone who wouldn't want their history of hits examined too closely…

mr.optra

This doesn't seem like a very happy site at all.
How about we all get over it with the name calling and snide remarks and be mature adults and move on.
