'Where's Willy'

Sitting in front of me is a ten marked with 'www.whereswilly.com'. When I obtained this note, I was very excited as I love finding/releasing tracked notes. Confusion overcame me with this different URL, though. Can't say I'm too impressed. Cdn-Money.Com is my homebase, and this 'whereswilly.com' competition doesn't sit well with me. I plan to re-release it as cdn-money.com tracked. Whoever sent this out stamped both sides. Guh?

What're your opinions on this other service? Seems too commercial for my liking.

Note: I did a search for threads about WW.Com but didn't come up with much. I hope this is in the right category!

We've known about whereswilly for years. We often reference it as 'the OTHER site', 'the dark site', 'WW', etc. If you happen to browse the archives you may find there was actually a feud of words with them (I was proudly the instigator of the original feud), and a couple people have jumped ship to us. They are mainly in central Canada, and we dominate the west.

Depending on when people started here, and their involvement in any of the inter-site rivalries, usually guides how they react to WW bills. Some people will enter their bill on both sites and send it on its way; some will ignore the WW brand and only enter it at CMT, and a few will very carefully obscure the WW url and add CMT.

One of their only users in Sask attended a few of our gatherings, but he has dropped out of the picture at both sites (I think…he may be entering under a new name somewhere)

I was going to post some info over in General Discussion, but since I'm here…

I've been tracking and recording some of the stats since August 2001, including the dark site and our bill totals/$ totals. We are about one year behind them, and for about two weeks now have been gaining on them very slowly. A few more regular and dedicated users, we could make some significant gains.

Also, for % of bills entered, Sask is currently at its highest level ever.

treat their bill as you would want one of yours treated by them. I have found a few, entered them on both sites and NOT added our stamp. That will make people not go to either site. I have gotten a few hits from people who are from that site and I thanked them. Some people use both sites.
