I can't enter this bill because it doesn't have a serial number. It looks pretty real to me, the foil is a little light and some of the raised dots aren't too raised but the paper feels fine and the colors and size are on. Wass upppp? Anyone? Should I spend it like a hot potatoe or report this somewhere?

anyone should very much aware that a note that is from the bank of canada with a missing serial number is VERY valuable to collectors. the charlton price guide has the $10 that is missing both serial numbers as being worth $600 dollars. the guide also notes that the serial numbers may be removed fraudulently and it is best to get an expert opinion on it. joycer, i would recommend taking it to a reputable dealer to get their appraisal (if you are in regina, take it to Barrie's Coins and Stamps. whatever you do, don't just give it away!
Thank you rudyk… I will have this bill checked out and decide what to do with it. At first I was annoyed that I couldn't enter it but it may be my diamond in the ruff (that I lost and still haven't found!) LOL Win some, lose some. Someone on the site already has first dibbs on it if I decide to part with it.

I will try to get it appraised on Monday as suggested at Barrie's Coins. I was so annoyed that I couldn't enter a bill but now it is sure interesting. I will be letting you all know for sure the outcome.
I took the bill to Barries Coins and Stamps who agreeed that my bill is authentic… however he said he doesn't know of a book that would give a value on a bill with no serial numbers. He personally does not handle these types of bills.
ok… my opinion of barrie's just went down. :) the book i quoted you the price from was purchased in his store!
(it is a Charlton Standard Catalogue, 16th edition - R.J Graham, editor (2004) … maybe should have pulled the book from the shelf there and showed him :) )

WHAT EVER HAPPENED WITH THIS BILL?
It is still sitting here…right beside my radar bill. LC scanned it for me and said we don't have a web site to link it to. Barrie's said it was real but didn't put any value on it. Still on hold I guess. Haven't had any specific offers to say yes or no to. It isn't taking up too much space.
I'll get LC to show me how or to post it…. it is in a safe place!
