"ancient" money

Last week when I was at work someone paid me with a Canadian $1! I haven't seen one of those in years. Naturally I kept it for myself. Are they still legal tender? And will it be worth something some day?

It must be legal tender…you took it, didn't you?

Of course it is good. Register it in an e-mail to DR, then either keep it or send it on it's way. The reason our dollar total is not an even '5' is because he registered a few $1 bills from my collection. It's also a good way to keep a record of the serial numbers of any bills you may have in a collection in case they are stolen and later recovered.

yes, all currency is completely legal tender. Even older 25 cent notes. Depending on the condition and serial number, values for the bill can range greatly. Welcome to the site.
