Ok, here's yet another question. I picked up a bill, wrote down the serial number and sent it on it's way before I had the chance to enter it here. Then when I went to enter it, someone had already done it and I got a hit! Is that a no no? And do I get points for that kind of a hit?

BDKINGSTON

This bill that you entered later. Did you write the URL on it or was it already there? Anyway when you enter a bill that someone else entered first they receive the hit although you will be notified that a hit was generated. You will only receive points for a bill that is entered by someone else AFTER you entered it.. You can still get a hit off of the bill in question if it gets entered again by another person.. Hope my rambling makes sense..

It's not a no-no, the only one who loses is you.

And if check your profile, you didn't get a hit.

Like a few other people around here, you got burned.

ANGLOFROG

Don't let that discourage you, KEEP ENTERING BILLS! Just let it be a lesson to you to enter first then spend, its always helpful to keep a few bills handy.

Sometimes you just can't get to a computer before you spend your cash, I've been burned this way too. What is unusual is that you got berned so fast. I've entered a LOT of bills, and this has only happened a few times to me. I've learned to get home as soon as possible and enter my data. Even so, it still happens…

I can't believe it! I would have had my first hit an hour later if I had only entered it on time. I'm not gonna try that one again.

Kitkat

You can back date your bill, but if you're not the first one to enter it regardless of time or date the hit is not yours. The hit goes to the first guy who entered it.

I write down the serial #, approximate time recieved, and condition of every bill you get, so I can enter the info later when on a computer. Of course, you can get "burned"…although I haven't yet. (Mind you, I don't even have any hits yet either!!!) :(
