Question - serial #s

I've been wondering why 3 digits from the serial number are censored on the website.

This is to preserve the integrity of the site.

This way you have to have the bill to enter the serial number and give a hit to someone else. Otherwise anyone could look at an entry and re-enter the serial number and produce a bogus hit.
