User Levels

Just wondering why there is no apparent correlation between the user level and bill limit. For example a 'Regular User' who hasn't been entering bills for months get's knocked down to 5/day, though his title remains the same.

I don't think this is fair, given certain circumstances and definately a turn off, if you're wishing to come back after a long hiatus. Sure you can enter your measly 5 and bring your score back up, but I think the same should apply to your bill limit. You've already proven yourself in obtaining the level of Regular User, so why start all over again?

Myself, also an infrequent user, enter bills on occasion yet manage to keep my level and entry limit at a respectable 75. So I have no complaints as long as I keep entering bills here and there.

I love $$ tracking and got another hit today!!

Have you confirmed your email address??
when DR updated the web page he made everyone going though confirmation.. or what ever again.. & until you do it is at 5 limit.
once you do that your level goes back to normal.

Yes the person in question was re-instated with all previous priviledges and honours as before. The default # of bills is really a good idea regardless of how long one has been entering bills. Personally I think more than 50/day is just insane and very few would ever use that limit on a consistant basis.

hahahahah BANK COLLECTOR I am sure you missed bill collectors point LOL. It is insane that someone can be away for a long time, say a month and then come back on and enter a few bills and they are all of a sudden right up there again. It happened to me. I was ill and also making a move so I had not entered bills for at least a month and when I did get a chance to go on the site I noticed that my name was not in 6th anymore it was like in 14th place. Well you can imagine my surprise when I entered some bills and found myself in 6th right off the get go. I thought oh that was simple. I really don't think that should happen..that sort of is a flaw in the set up here. I really think that is what bill collector is saying. Because I should have had to enter more bills to entitle me to get back to 6th. So bill collectors comment and i feel the same it is insane that someone who has not been on the site for some time can enter a few and get right back where they were before. And BANK COLLECTOR that is insane. I love this site and find it challenging and fun and lots of work involved too. :-)

Maggie:

I don't think that's what I meant in my original post. Inactivity should bring your staus down, as that's the basis for the index. Losing it entirely is a different matter and the system isn't set up to punish and is quite fair to all users.

There's nothing wrong with reclaiming your spot in the top users list after a long hiatus. However in the mean time you may find that you've lost some ground and that's fine. If one has enough of a lead then it's nice to know you're welcomed back into the fold! After all you've worked very hard to get that far.

In regards to bill entering, very few people that I know of have the means or time at their disposal to be entering more than 50 bills/day or 1500/month. This doesn't make them insane(some still think we are!), just that the amount is mind boggling! I choose to follow the rules and work within my abilities, only EMSing 2-400/month(WW gets the Lions share).

Oh billcollector, to be real honest, I should never comment on an issue that is beyond me. Oh well back to the drawing board. Have a great day bill collector and get tons of hits to make your day… :-)
