Tomorrow, a year ago on the 19th of January, the CDN-MONEY website lost a very long-time tracker, Mark Mills of Saskatoon (aka: BANKCOLLECTOR).
Mark, while many times being controversial in his comments with his soapbox stands, was very dedicated to this website and was a very active member, and a friend to many. He was always there to lend a helping hand and guidance to any new tracker (or older site members).
It was because of him that I became the strong member that I have become. He gave me one of his older stamps so that I could begin stamping my notes. We had a very friendly rivalry going for some time, as when he took a long-deserved break, I took away his treasured crown and #1 spot in the entries posted standings. He let me continue to occupy that throne and hold the title for some time before deciding that I had had it long enough and it was time to regain his coveted title. It didn't take him long at all!
Even with me moving to Mexico for three years, we continued with my pursuit to chase him in the standings.
Mark is, and will be sorely missed on this website, and I for one deeply miss his camaraderie and friendship.
In his honour and memory, I AM REQUESTING, that all of us current members who place an entry tomorrow, simply place in the comments section the words: R.I.P. BANKCOLLECTOR
Let his name and memory forever live on!
God bless you Mark, and may the good Lord forever keep you under his wing.
I know you're watching down on us. You are truly missed, my friend.
