DRESSED DOWN AT TD BANK

Well it does not happen often but I was dressed down at the TD Bank in Blarmore today when I deposited 10 one hundred dollar bills into my account that were stamped. I explained to her if was legal and if she had a problem with it maybe she should talk to her manager as if she sends those bills to be destroyed they will only be recirculated as good condition bills. She then informed me it was against the law to mark bills. Then became insulted when I asked her with her law degree why she was working as a teller in the bank. I then told her to check out the web site and read the letter about it being legal. I visit that bank every two weeks so we will see if she continues her quest. I may print out the letter and take it with me on my next visit.

I guess it can go either way.

I find the language great. It does not really give a go ahead or say no either. It sounds to me like they don't agree with it, but won't do anything about it either. I guess it is up to the bank and what their opinion is.

Just for the record. She could be going to university to become a lawyer.

Have you had any issues in the past? You can give them to me if you want.

As a side note. At least with my bank, I am not sure if it is just staff turnover or what the story is. But usually the tellers seem to not have any clue about anything. And have no ability to do anything. If I want a money order, a senior staff member does it. Cashiers check. Senior staff does it. Want to withdraw money say a thousand. Check with a senior staff member. Yada Yada. More hassle. I have pretty much given up with my bank
