Since you were interested in our days…

I love working the night shift on this week every year. Now the folks up in Edmonton and points north have shorter nights, but last night was a beauty!

Sunset at about 9:30PM. BUT, the sky was blue in prairie twilight until nearly midnight. About 3:00AM the twilight was back, with sunrise around 4:45AM. Added bonus this year… a full moon! Although it was low in the sky, it rose about 10:00PM and set around 3:30AM. So all in all, it was quite a bright night.

As rudyk mentioned, mountains are nice, but they tend to block the view. I would add, and block the sunlight too!

Thanks for the update Pooga. It sounds beautiful. I wonder what the extended periods of daylight, or almost daylight, have on peoples' sleeping habits.

Now I must be very observant tonight of the light patterns. Mind you, I don't work a night shift so the sun is usually up this time of the year before I wake up in the morning.
