Well, another gathering has come and gone. In attendance were Suzuki, Pooga, Sarge, Dr.JDFever, Kayfbee, CJ, & Mr. CJ.
It started out a little wet, but the cookhouse was dry and the food was good and the beer was beery? After lunch, it had stopped raining and Pooga had brought Bocce. We played in a landscaped creekbed. This was the first time I played this but I do believe it does not usually include bank shots, rock jumps and the balls shouldn't change direction more than once per throw. We only had one rain delay, but two delays for animals on the course. We all played several games, but as I was designated to make the report, I shall only mention the score on the one shut out game :) And Suzuki only tried to take out one spectator (Dr.DJ) whom I'm sure is still recovering from his first gathering.
Obstacle Bocce is fun.
The next gathering at the end of July has yet to be finalized. It will be a meeting to decide on an itinery for dr and princess's visit.
As not alot of people are making it from the south, we may have the next provincial gathering closer to kayfbee or closer to Saskatoon. We were very impressed with the site at Craik, so I think that may also be an option again. The next provincial gathering may also be the second weekend, instead of the first weekend in June next year, just to mix things up a little.
Over all, even though it looks like it rained most of the day here in Saskatoon, it was a nice day in Craik.
