There will be an open house at the Armoury on Idylwyld Drive in Saskatoon this Saturday (21 April) from 1:00-4:00 pm.
All units in the 'Saskatoon Military Community' will be taking part, including the North Saskatchewan Regiment (infantry); 16 Service Battalion (logistics); 16 Field Ambulance (medical); Saskatchewan Dragoon (Armoured Recce, Moose Jaw); HMCS Unicorn (Navy); Canadian Forces Recruiting Centre Saskatoon; Canadian Forces Detachment Dundurn; and Canadian Forces Ammunition Depot Dundurn.
The Open House will include displays and demonstrations, and an opportunity to talk with the soldiers.
At 1:15, there will also be an official opening ceremony for the newly constructed annex to the Armoury, with General Skidmore, Commander of the Army in Western Canada (Thunder Bay west to the Pacific); and Mayor Don Atchison cutting the ribbon.
