dr is ahead of schedule. As of right now (THURSDAY, 7:40 PM) he is at the airport refueling (Shell). That's right, a day ahead.
He will call me tomorrow or Saturday to confirm, but right now it looks like he will be back on MONDAY, probably sometime between noon and 3PM. He will call again on Monday morning and give a more accurate ETA then.
SO who's all in for meeting him on Monday??

I don't know if I can make that one either. I work till around 3 and then not sure what is happening after that. I however may be able to work something out if someone can get in touch with me on Monday and let me know more.

I must say I was a bit disappointed with the turnout but then again it was rather short notice. Of course, that was nothing compared to the fact that Pooga showed up empty handed (ie. sans beer). But it was nice to put two more faces to the names.
We are hoping to head back to Dauphin again at Easter so mark your calendars. And I'll actually plan to spend lunch or brunch or something in town.

well cuz u could stay at my place when he comes thru next time… I would have loved to have met DR this time but went home to make sure dad was ok after his health problems… nexttime will plan for it :)

reply : many of us wanted and still want to meet the creator of our addiction. it was unfortunate that your visit came on a holiday of which some of us had to stay with family rather then go off to meet with our cmt leader.
i for one really ruffled some feathers so to speak when i announced that i had to go to the airport for a meeting.
i was corrected and told of my family obligations etc. etc..
(put in my place to say the least). dr. if planned far enough ahead and as a dinner or lunch or brunch meeting i am sure that the turn out would be much better. i for one was very sorry that i missed the meeting but there are times when you must respect the wishes or duties of family.
