CMT Scoring

I entered 50 bills last night and checked the team score- it was still 0. This morning it was .3333 due to a hit for Sarge. Entered another 170 bills and no change from .3333. Is the weighting for bill entry less on team scores than for individuals?

And on the scoring…
Is entering a bill worth the same points, regardless of denomination? Or would 4 x $5 equal the same CMT points as a single $20?

The team score is based solely on hits at this point. I didn't have enough time to figure out a solid formula yet, so I went with something simple. As I said in another posting, I doubt that the team score will be based on number of bills entered, but I won't completely rule out the possibility.

Curious. How does PIRANHA86 join Dec 10; have 14 entries, no hits, and start at 138? Is it due to the denominations ($20)?

Several of us have asked outright for the equation, but DR is holding out on us. One factor is bills entered and how long you've been around. So if you enter lots of bills at the start then none, you eventually vanish off the scoreboard.

When I started, the same thing happened to me, now when I enter bills, it takes lots just to go up one point. Same with hits, my first hits were worth 20-25 points, now my last hit was worth maybe five, and POOGA gets hits almost every day and his score doesn't even go up a point.

Ah the mysteries of math :)

Heh, okay, I'll give you some more details. There are three things used to calculate the CMT Score; number of entries, number of hits, and time since last entry. That's it. Denomination, series, message board posts, etc, are all irrelavant (at this point in time). The magic time right now from last entry to a zero CMT Score is 90 days. But I am thinking of changing it so that the CMT Scores are a little more stable, such that you would only start losing CMT Score after thirty days (rather than 1 day like it is right now).

Is that enough info or do you want the exact formula? :)

I like it fine right now! I can be away for a week, and nobody catches me :-)

But if you are going to change it, I think 30 days is too much. They may not come back. Out of site (pun intended) is out of mind!

No more than 14 days, preferably 7. So somebody on vacation doesn't fall behind too fast.

Hey, I'm thinking of going to Europe for a month in the spring! 30 days works better! And if a person never comes back to the site, they would still disappear from the scores pretty quick anyways!

Take some of your stamped bills over and get Pounds for them.. you never know.. You may get a hit from over in Europe

MmmBeer

Especiall if you enter one right before your flight than get off the plane in Europe and spend it and then right away someone enters it..

HMMMMM 20,000 km in 10 hours or so 2000 km/h

That would be neat!!

Speaking of which….

DR, is the idea of bill speeds (fastest, slowest) and distances (farthest, cumulative, etc) still on your 'to do' list?

Sarge

MMMBEER…

It would be cool, but I don't think I could make 2,000 kph, unless there were a Concord flying from Saskatoon to somewhere!
