dr, I had a couple of questions about the hits and the notifications.
Recently I entered a few bills that I received from other users giving them a hit, yet I received notification about the hit, for example this bill.
Now today, Idjit entered a couple of my bills. I did receive a notification, but it looks really strange as there is no reference to him, as in this one.
What is happening here? Or is it the way you have it set up for intra-site hits?
A second strange occurence is this bill. It looks ok now, but when I first looked at it on the 7 day list, it showed up as a double hit. An hour later, it was back to showing a single hit.
Am I losing my mind, or are there things happening here I don't understand?
Sorry, it was just a bit unusual and I thought I should bring it to your attention.
I have fourteen hits on my entries page but only 12 on the top ten page.
And today I noticed another thing.
There were 4 or 5 anonymous hits on anonymous entries. EXAMPLE. Or maybe this is another case of bad entries? But I can't believe someone would enter 5 bills in a row wrong! Unless of course they had the wrong prefix or series?
Any way to check it dr? Too bad both entries were anonymous. We might have been able to deduce whose bills those were if we could have asked about the stamp.
Could an anon. user be entering other bills they have, and just by coincidence, yet another user entering them anonymously?

The hits are always in a state of flux as every now and then (usually twice a week) I go through the list of unconfirmed hits and clean up the ones that are invalid, fake or seem fake or whatever. I removed your hits from Idjit as I really don't think sending him money for Super7 is fair. This gets us back into the argument from a while ago about questionable hits between users. As I've said in the past, whether it's paying my brother back or paying for a share of a b-zillion dollars, I don't think that counts as natural circulation per se. Sorry.

The top ten is always the "correct" number. For example, Pooga sent me 4 bills for the postal code donation. I entered all the bills which gave him four more bills with hits. However, I only gave him credit for 1 hit, so his entries screen will show N number of hits but the number of hits screen will show N-3. Make sense?

Ok, I was aware of that. I assumed (silly me) that removing the hits (which I agree with) would still leave the info that the bills were in Idjit's possession at one time. Therefore if the bill was hit in the future, we would both get credit for a hit as he did handle the bill and send it on is way.
Any thoughts on the first part of my question, about the anonymous entries in lloyd?
Yep, that makes sense. One hit per user no matter how many bills they sent ya seems fair.
And now an anonymous bill was hit in BC!
Bill ID=98486

Ya, normally I would have (I have to do some manual stuff) but there were SOOOO many that I forget it and used the auto-admin stuff which erases all traces of the hit. Sorry, Idjit.
No, no idea about the anonymous stuff… haven't really looked yet though.

No problem at all. I must confess, I'm a little dumb when it comes to 'the rules of hit'. I should really reveiw this so I'm not messing up and creating unnecessary work for you.
