try this location wes_bos. how to make a link didn't help this computer illiterate
http://www.cnd-money.com/servlet/cmtviewbill?ID=198371
That link puts mew at No page screen since you put cnd-money.com.. When I change it, I get error also
Use the < a href="URL">TEXT< /a> to make a link, without the space before the 'a's!
Try copyinbg the URL for that bill then just pasting it.
Sorry this stuff is beyond me. If you wish to view the bill in question go to view hits in the past week and find the five that was hit 1-aug-2002 at 2:07 pm HTA7**436. You will then be able to view the comments.
ok I have been playing around a bit. copy this and try this:
http://www.cdn-money.com/cdnmoney/servlet/cmtViewBill?ID=194488
it worked for me.
You just need to hyper link that URL. If you have the URL, the rest is easy once you have been shown how! (thanks mmm and dr). As dr does, I also prefer to open a new window so that you don't lose your place in the forum. That's what the "target=_new" does.
To recap then, do this:
{a href=http://www.cdn-money.com/cdnmoney/servlet/cmtViewBill?ID=194488 target=_new} PUT THE URL, OR ANYTHING YOU WANT, LIKE BD'S BILL, HERE {/a}
And replacing the '{' and '}' with a '<' and a '>' respectively, we get:
<a href=http://www.cdn-money.com/cdnmoney/servlet/cmtViewBill?ID=194488 target=_new> PUT THE URL, OR ANYTHING YOU WANT, LIKE BD'S BILL, HERE! </a>
And to fancy it up, use {em}{/em} for italics and {b}{/b} for bold, remembering the < and > replacements, so that this:
{a href=http://www.cdn-money.com/cdnmoney/servlet/cmtViewBill?ID=194488 target=_new} PUT THE URL, {em}OR ANYTHING YOU WANT{/em}, LIKE {b}BD'S BILL{/b}, HERE {/a}
turns into this:
<a href=http://www.cdn-money.com/cdnmoney/servlet/cmtViewBill?ID=194488 target=_new> PUT THE URL, OR ANYTHING YOU WANT, LIKE BD'S BILL, HERE! </a>
HTML can be interesting. I'm sure that you've seen a lot of our profiles that are all gussied up pretty, like <a href= http://www.cdn-money.com/cdnmoney/servlet/cmtViewUser?user=Pooga target=_new> mine</a>! Next lesson, font sizes and colours?? Your turn dr or MmmBeer!
Your turn dr
No need. You pretty much summed everything up. Well done. We'll have you programming computers in no time. Then we'll have to get me brewing beer. :)

Thanks for the lesson Pooga. I am not sure I understand it but when I get a minute I will try it and I will let you know..
Okay, I took a closer read and I think I understand. If I am correct you will see result in future messages.
Buy HTML goodies, or a newer book, if you are really phyced (Is that the spelling) about it. Or else the simple stuff is out on the internet. Its better when you have someone teaching you.. I learned most from a friend
I agree these guys are great, and I hope I have time to use this stuff soon. Thanks for the info.
I got mine from school. We made a really crappy website. If I find it I'll post it up here.
