So told you it was a tease, as it's coming soon to the next verion of CMT..

Actually, I set up a chat server about a year and a half ago but pulled it down as no one was ever around. And Pooga was the first on that. But who's couting? :) Anyway, didn't mean to spoil your gloating, Bish0p… :)

not that i'm complaining but….a chat server on this site will stop me from accessing it at work. company computer with BIG firewall…you know…..no direct access stuff….so that would mean no more reading forums and good stuff like that when i'm on the night shift (and that is a 12 hour shift)
You'll be fine… I promise.
(a) the forums won't go away
(b) if companies block chat servers, typically they block chat server ports only, rather than an entire site (lots of sites you access every day have chat servers assocaited with them, you just don't know it)
(c) the chat server Bish0p set up is accessed via a web page, so as far as your work is concerned it's just you accessing a web page.
Oh, and Bish0p, point noted. However, when was the last time I took your advice? :)

like i said, i'm not complaining…but if i will still be able to access everything else but the chat…no problem. just that if i couldn't get on at all, i wouldn't have any interesting stuff to read on nights to keep me awake. and if it turns out i can't access at work, then i will be a lot busier at home….go for it…with my blessing..
Well I promise you that it won't affect your ability to access the site at work. And, if for some obscure reason it does, I'm sure that between all the smart minds around this place we can figure something out for you.

The Chat server Is actually well hidden behind a firewall of it's own and is run on a non-routable address (for those of you who don't speak geek here is what babblesfish translates that too. -> The computer that the chat software is running on is itself not accessable via the internet) I have added an HTML (WEB) interface that will allow people to access it from anywhere with nothing more than a browser, no JAVA, not seperate APP, nothing but your good old faithful browser.
