I know this isn't a big deal, and I'm not complaing about it…I just figured dr has a right to know.
When you enter bills within a few minutes after midnight (like I do every night), it lists the correct date…for about 15 minutes. Then it changes it for some reason to exactly 1 hour before (which works out to …like 11:10 PM the day before)
If you look at my bills, and other peoples as well, you will notice it is true. I have noticed that it's fine as long as you wait about 1/2 hour after midnight to do it. I don't kow if this is an easy fix, or if it really even matters.
The only reason I even noticed is that I know my 100th bill entered was going to be on July 10th, a few minutes after midnight (which happened) and when I went to change my profile to reflect this, I checked it for some reason and it said at that time that it was entered on July 9th at 11:05 PM.
I changed my profile to say this date instead (even though it was wrong).
I then checked other users that were online entering bills at the same time, and their's said July 10th - 12:16 etc. , But when I checked it again about 1/2 hour later, it had changed their's to 11:xx as well.
There…I told ya what I learned. Again, it doesn't matter to me, I just thought you should know.
Thanx for running my newly favorite website - and newest hobby. My boss is going crazy because I demand that I write down and mark every bill coming into the store.
I'M ADDICTED - IS THERE A CURE or ANTIDOTE??????

Nope……
dr is aware of some time issues, but I don't know about that one.
The one I know of concerns Saskatchewan and Standard time. The log and the bill entry list never agree. You'd think that with all the bills Saskatchewan enters that we could have a priority on a time fix!
:-)
I'm sure dr is doing the best he can - we all have to remember that he doesn't make money doing this. Keep up the great work dr!!!
Ya, it's a known issue. If you can give me more details to help track it down, please give me as much as you can and email it to me. Thanks.

I haven't experienced that problem, and I've been entering bills since before time changed for the rest of the country in April. Interesting observation.
It only happens in the Pacific timezone.
-dr
I Live in SK and it happens here, I think this is the Central Time Zone, but I'm not sure.
Okay, then it must be related to thmidnight of the pacific time zone as I have only ever seen it happen on bills entered there.

Pretty sure it's in the bug list, but as an example: I logged in at 5:50PM today, but the log shows me in at 6:50PM.
I entered bills on Saturday at 11:00AM, but my bill list shows 10:00AM.
It's always an hour off. The logs are an hour off only from April to October. Been like that a LONG time. :-]
Okay, that's different than what I was thinking of. That's due to the underlying database not realizing that SK is different than the rest of the locations in the Central Timezone. So yes, that is on my list of things to do… later. For now, you will just have to manually adjust your timezone in your profile such that you are MDT in the summer and CST in the winter.

LOL thats Okay dr…
Out here we have what is commonly called Masset time… things start or end +/- 30 mins.
Plus, you must have heard that BC is so laid back it gets the nickname California North!!!
Hmmmm where is my coffee???

That sounds like the Armoured Corps… the battle can only start once we've made our coffee, packed up the BBQ and put away our lawn chairs. :)

Remember that Saskatchewan isn't the only place!

That sounds like 'downtime'. From what I understand, downtime in the Armoured Corps means you're breaking track.
Excellent Link!!!
With all these exceptions it must drive those running the railways, airlines, and coachlines absolutely batty!!! Try setting a schedule where a train can travel through and actually leave a town before it got there…. or something like that!!!
