Please be advised that the bank has given you another counterfeit note.
The prefix FME is not a $10, but a $50 note from the 'Birds" series of 1988.
It is in the database and would have shown up as incorrect when you attempted to enter it.
Take the note to the RCMP. DO NOT PASS IT ON!
Thanks for letting me know.
I shall let the bank and the authorities know.
I certainly DO NOT want to be involved in circulating counterfeit notes!!
why not the banks do it all the time that is most likely where you got it. My faith in banks is below zero and if it was not such a hassle I would switch banks in a heartbeat.
I did, indeed, get it from the bank.
I have spoken with the Bank Manager who informed me that they (head office) would look into it and take further actions from there.
They apologized and agreed that it does happen from time to time as they get their notes delivered from a 3rd party (G4S). They have also advised them.
I only hope that it was not another one of my "gaffs" were I have inadvertently forgot to change the denomination.
My bank is very good to me and is fully aware of what I do with all the notes I receive and has no problem with it. In fact, when I order a bundle or 2 or 3 for example, they will scan through them to ensure that I do not get back any of MY marked notes. That's how cooperative they are.
