This shouldn't affect too many people, if any, but I am updating the database to reduce the number of mailouts done during the weekly mailout. In effect, I will be configuring the database so that anyone who registered before version 2.0.0 was deployed (Jun 17, 2002) and who is a Newbie for user level will no longer receive the mailout.
I'm doing this because up to the deployment of version 2.0.0, you received the mailout by default when you registered, and since the majority of users aren't interested in the weekly report, this will reduce the mailout from 1400 to around 200. So just in case I missed or overlooked someone, please double check your user settings tomorrow to make sure you are still set to receive the weekly mailout (assuming you still want to receive it).

So your saying that the old users, back from before version 2.0.0 will not get it?
kaiser, are YOU still a user?
I agree with dr.
This is the kind of administration I can handle.
Ahh. I understand now. I'm ok.
There were a lot of people receiving the email by default who have never visited the website after their first visit. So to reduce the number of emails being sent out and the number of requests to be removed, I simply removed them all. :) But they can rejoin if they like.

So I just have to check off to recieve the email since I have been on for 2 years
No, you shouldn't have to do anything because you're at a higher level than Newbie. If you want the weekly newsletter, make sure the check box is checked on your user preferences page. That's it.
