A friend of mine phoned me today said he got a marked bill from a gas station in the city he took it home for me to enter so some lucky person could get a hit. Sadly the bill turned out to be mine so i did not get a hit and nobody else got one either. I did tell him to save it for the city as we live in a little town and I already have lots of bills out here so hopefully the next time it hits the city Iwill get a hit.

WOW!!!!!!!! What a disappointment. It was rather funny though…so sorry…….heres to many hits in the city.,, :-)

Would it have been legitimate for your friend to enter it? I think so. It is not like you gave it to him and asked him to enter it. He got it from a third party.

I think it would have been legitimate. That happened to me once. A friend found a bill of mine and showed me, and it was mine. I just shrugged it off and did not ask him to enter it, but the next time I logged on it was hit. But this does raise the point that asking others to give you hits would make the site less fun, plus not necessarily tracking a note's true circulation (since the friend would already be aware of one's bill tracking hobby).

When my friend phoned he did not know if it was my bill or not as he has never seen my stamps.I will just leave it go and hopefully it will get a hit somewhere.Still kind of cool that it left and came back but thats the fun of tracking money.
