Ink Smudges

Didn't know if might be worth anything, but I got a $50 withblack and red ink streaks under the serial#. should I keep it? the bill's practicly uncirculated, exelent condision………other than me just me just @$#%ing writing on it this web site.
Lesson learnt FULLY LOOK AT THE BILL FIRST.
Did I render it to face value when it might have been worth more?????????

no need to be upset. ink smudges are not one of the recognized printing errors on banknotes so your $50 is an oddity, but does not have a premium (unless you can find someone who thinks that it is rare). i hope this helps!

HOW ABOUT SERIAL NUMBERS WITH THE INK COMING THROUGH ON THE FACE SIDE?? HAD A 1986 FIVE LIKE THIS BUT IT'S LONG GONE NOW.

No this happens often. I see it lots on the journey series bills..
