is strange for a couple of reasons. first off and amusingly, its BANKCOLLECTOR hitting rudyk. ok… strange enough, but it's such a quick hit i thought it worthy of a longer explanation. i got this 5 when i made change for a colleague who didn't want to leave that much for a tip at lunch, thursday. i took the bill, stamped and entered it that afternoon. i then travelled to swift current yesterday and spent money there and in caronport, on the way – and that is the only place it could have re-entered circulation. then, today, BC got it from his bank and entered it. that is some fast money! anyone else have a story of such quick turnaround, over a fairly large distance? i mean, if it weren't BANKCOLLECTOR and me, you'd almost think some collusion was going on! :)
That's what I call luck! It's the uncontrollable factor that affects all the hits.
Also interesting how it could go from VF to UNC in one day. Usually it's the other way around.
COLLUSION BETWEEN YOU AND I NOW THAT IS A REAL JOKE … AS I ANSWERED YOUR PRIVATE MESSAGE AND THEN CAME INTO THE FORUM I FIND MYSELF HAVING TO REPEAT MY ANSWER IN PUBLIC. I LOG IN MY LIMIT OF BILLS EVERY DAY AND SPEND MORE THAN I AM ALLOWED TO LOG IN ANY GIVEN DAY SO I HAVE HAD TO WRITE DOWN SERIAL NUMBERS THAT I HAVE ALREADY SPENT AND WAS AT MY LOG IN LIMIT THAT DAY. THESE ARE THEN LOGGED IN AT A LATER DATE. IT MAY BE THAT I HAD THIS BILL BEFORE RUDYK AND LOST A HIT DUE TO THE FACT IT WAS LOGGED IN LATE. WITH MY PROMOTIONS OVER THE LAST THERE WEEKS THIS PROBLEM SHOULD CORRECT ITSELF AS I AM NOW AT A LIMIT THAT MY SPENDING IS LESS THAN I AM ALLOWED TO LOG IN ON ANY GIVEN DAY. UNLESS I MAKE A LARGE PURCHASE. SINCE COMING TO THIS SITE I HAVE STOPPED USING MY DEBT CARD AND CREDIT CARDS AND HAVE RESORTED TO MOSTLY CASH FOR DAY TO DAY SPENDING. MY CREDIT CARD STAEMENTS HAVE BECOME ALOT SMALLER NOW AND IT SEEMS NOBODY MINDS GETTING CASH.
I don't understand. If BANKCOLLECTOR had the bill first, would it not have his stamp on it when rudyk received it, even if BANKCOLLECTOR had not yet entered it on the site? Did it already have a stamp when rudyk entered it? If rudyk entered a bill that was already stamped, surely he would have wondered why it didn't give someone a hit.
so, BC, you spend it before stamping it? and then enter it later? the note i had was not stamped.
YOU LOG IN OVER 2800 BILLS IN FOUR MONTHS AND SEE IF YOU FORGET TO STAMP ONE OR TWO … I ALSO GET CHANGE AT THE CASINO WHEN I AM PLAYING AND MARK DOWN THE SERIAL NUMBERS BEFORE I USE THE BILLS BUT I DO NOT CARRY MY STAMP TO THE CASINO SO MANY BILLS THERE MAY GO UNMARKED AS I ENJOY MY NIGHT AT THE GAMES. WITH ALL THE CAMERAS WATCHING THE CASINO FLOOR CAN YOU IMAGINE THE ATTENTION I WOULD STIR UP IF I TOOK OUT A STAMP AND STARTED MARKING THE MONEY. WITH THE THOUSANDS OF BILLS I HAVE OUT THERE AND THE THOUSANDS MORE TO COME I AM SURE THERE WILL BE MANY THAT ARE OR WILL BE UNMARKED. IF I STAMP 99% OF THE BILLS I ENTER THAT TO ME IS FINE BUT TO EXPECT 100% WOULD MEAN I WAS PERFECT AND NOBODY IS PERFECT.

okay… the picture is a lot clearer now. again, i guess, this all hinges on what constitutes the usual circulation of money.

I haven't. At least I write the URL on it if I don't have my stamps with me. To my knowledge. I've never missed one. And the wife is trained, spends ONLY marked money now, brings home anything unmarked.
I know when I first joined the site I had entered about 200 bills before I realized I should be marking them. Since then I penned the website for a while and finally got a stamp. I'm sure the odd bill still gets missed. I got a surprise myself a while back when I entered a $20 bill (unmarked) to find it had already been entered by crazz.

i have entered a lot of bills and not marked them. sometimes if i need fives i will first take that amount that I need from the stm, write down the numbers and then go into the bank to get the fives. i live in such a small place so prefer not to get the banks ire up. might need a loan someday. ;o)

TALKING ABOUT UNSTAMPED BILLS I HIT ONE TODAY ANZ71***83 FROM LIL SATAN AND IN HIS COMMENTS HE EVEN SAYS IS A STEALTH BILL. NOT THE FIRST UNMARKED BILL OR THE LAST ONE I WILL EVER FIND ON THIS SITE.
