Look out! A new version is on the way, to be deployed sometime over the next few days. The big things to look forward to:
- initial support for timezones; this will mean that those of you not living in the greatest province (Alberta), will no longer have to deal with converting times and such. And you can set your timezone in your profile.
- page shifting on the view entries page; that is, if you are viewing page 8, 9 or 10 of your bill entries, the page links shift from 1-10 and instead present you with links to pages 6-15. Same for the bottom side of the list. If you like the way the shifting works, I'll add it to the rest of the list pages in a future release. I think this will be most useful for those of you with a large number of entries (ie. well more than 200), and infact I think Pooga requested this a while ago.
There are also a bunch of small things that most of you probably won't notice (unless you read the what's new page) too. I'll keep you posted on the deployment.
Have a great weekend!

thx for the timezone change!! ;)
It's difficult enough with the twenty-four hour clock but the time zone change was always a pain for me to get right.
Thank you for the change.
Should be neet to see how you do Daylight Savings Time. The lottery people are incapable of dealing with this. That's why the cutoff times for Lotto 6-49 change all the time in Saskatchewan- the rest of Canada uses DST and Sask. doesn't. Drives our lottery customers crazy.
doesn't matter what the time says we are always at the same time Ijust left it Alberta time that was the time
It's here! Version 1.5.3 has been deployed. The timezone stuff may be a bit confusing, so I'll quickly explain…
Basically, there is now a drop-down on the 'add bill' page. This allows you specify the "local" time when you received the bill. If you don't have your timezone set or you don't select a timezone on entry, the system will default to Mountain Time. If you do set your timezone in your profile, this drop down will automatically be pre-populated for you. So if you enter that you received the bill at 10am Eastern Time, that will automatically adjust to become 8am Mountain Time and stored as such in the database. When you view the bill, it will show the times in Mountain Time still as I haven't adjusted all the code to handle timezones yet. But the plan is such that once you set your timezone in your profile, all the date/times shown on the site will be shown in your local timezone. That will include such things as the latest logins, entries, hits and basically any other dates displayed throughout the site.
If that doesn't make sense, let me know.
Also, as per normal, if you encounter any errors, problems, etc with the new version, please let me know via e-mail.

Hey, dr, I know you haven't been to Saskatchewan, but you may have heard, we don't change our time over here. I currently set my time zone to central, but come april, we'll have to change it to mountain. Since we're so "special", do we get our own time zone here, or just manually change zones when y'all change your clocks so we don't feel left out?
CJ
we don't change our time over here
And, as I recently found out, neither do most countries between the Tropics…
So does that make Saskatchewan a 'banana republic' or a vacation spot?
Vacation time tends to go by extremely fast…much faster than work time. Therefore, since we don't change our time, we must be a banana republic because TIME STANDS STILL IN SASKATCHEWAN!
Saskatchewan is quintessential Canadian.
How come there's no method for entering age nor gender?
How come there's no method for entering age nor gender?
It's on the registration page only at this point. Haven't gotten around to adding to to the user profile edit screen yet. Maybe for the next release.
