Just Wondering

Anyone have any suggestions on how to encourage users that havn't logged in for couple months or more to be more active without intent of being pushy, rude,etc…
Would a kind priv. msg. or annon. mail be more appropriate, or just simply let it be

I ask this cause i have a few people that have given me hits and then really havn't done anything from there other than be curious and give me hit

I have the same problem. About five or six users have registered and entered one hit, but haven't even came back on the site. It would be nice to see them get more interested and enter some more bills.

IT IS HUMAN NATURE TO BE CURIOUS … THIS IS LIKE FISHING LOTS OF BITES FEW CATCHES. IT HAPPENS THAT SOME VISIT THIS SITE AND LIKE IT SO MUCH THEY NEVER LEAVE… WHILE OTHERS LOOK AT THE SITE AND ONCE HERE SPEND ONLY A FEW MINUTES AND LEAVE NEVER TO RETURN THOSE PEOPLE ARE NOT MONEY TRACKERS. THEN YOU HAVE THE PEOPLE WHO COME TO THE SITE A FEW TIMES AND LOOK AROUND AND LOG A FEW BILLS … NOW THOSE PEOPLE MAY BECOME REGULARS. THE WAY THE SITE IS SET UP (DR HAS DONE A SUPER JOB ON THIS) IS THE MORE YOU VISIT THE BETTER THE SITE GETS… HENCE MY SUGGESTION IS LET THE SYSTEM WORK, THE NETWORK HERE GROWS BECAUSE WE ALL WANT TO BE HERE AMD ENJOY THE NATURAL FLOW OF MONEY AND WE ARE TRACKERS. IT TAKES A SPECIAL TYPE OF PERSON TO BECOMES A SERIOUS TRACKER (SOME SAY IT IS AN ADDICTION) BUT WE DO NOT WANT TO PULL SOMEONE INTO THE SITE BY ANY OTHER MEANS THEN THEIR PERSONAL DESIRE TO TRACK MONEY.

IF DR WANTED THIS SITE TO BOOM AND TO MAKE MONEY FROM IT HE WOULD HAVE TAKEN A DIFFERENT DIRECTION IN THE DESIGN.

AS IT IS ANYONE WHO HAS BEEN HERE FOR MORE THAN A MONTH HAS A TRUE DESIRE TO FOLLOW THEIR MONEY. ANY OTHER LITTLE PERKS THAT COME ALONG WITH THE TRACKING ARE NICE BUT NOT THE REASON WE STAY.
I LOVE THE FLOW OF MY MONEY AND STAY TO WATCH IT TRAVEL… I PLAY DAILY ON THE SITE AND LOG A FEW BILLS A WEEK SO I CAN TRACK THEM …

ADDICTED NO NOT REALLY JUST A VERY CURIOUS PERSON.

Myself…I find patience is the big thing! If you are not patient in finding where the bills go you will soon not want to wait until you get the glorious hits. I also enjoy the chitchat so I'm not obsessed with the hits side of it… they will come! Really do enjoy this site!

Very well put BankCollector I do not think I could have put it into better words my self well done- yes it is just like Fishing the thrill is in the catching not the eating- We stay because we love the fact we like to track our Money if others want to join us then move on that is Life and will always be that way.

indeed, BC certainly seemed to come up with an eloquent raison d'etre for this site and the phenomenom of tracking money. it seemed to capture the spirit of what some of us feel here. this was particularly worthy of note that it came almost coincidently with his revelation that he stamped his money with "YOUR A WINNER" [sic]… something i find incongruous with the sentiments espoused in his post here.

YOUR A WINNER STAMP WAS A SHORT LIVED TEST AND ANYONE WHO CONTACTED ME DID GET A PRIZE. ONLY HAD TO GIVE ONE AWAY.
TEST WAS DONE AND STAMP WAS REPLACED. SOMETIMES IT IS NICE TO SEE HOW A STAMP WILL WORK. THAT STAMP WAS USED MONTHS AGO AND WAS THEN PUT AWAY AND YES MY VIEWS ON THIS SITE ARE AS I STAED IN MY OTHER FORUM MESSAGE.

In response to Give me Money's comments, I can only think of a few things. First the odd reminder to not miss out on all the fun and start entering again(might be redundant given the hit notifications). Second, not penalizing someone so badly, that they'll go elsewhere or just not bother.

Sure there are lots of variables in every situation, that may cause someone to dissapear, but I think coming back and finding that you're only allowed to enter 5 bills again would certainly put me off. As an example, I know of a local user who has been without internet access for over 6 months and as a result was not able to enter many bills. When he decided to mark bills again, he found out that he was back at square one. Is there a way to get reinstated quicker, perhaps through an email and explaining your predicament?

Regardless, this is a great site and though frequented by many people, will always have a small percentage of 'Addictees'. Some will lose interest as other things come up, and others are just content to enter the bills they find. I myself am a casual user, entering perhaps 6-25 bills a month, but it's enough to maintain a sensible index and keep up with all the goings on here.

I haven't really had a chance to read all the posts yet, so I hope I haven't repeated anything that was already said and my observation isn't taken the wrong way.
