Hey now!!!For a team that wasn't supposed to make it past Vancouver….they gave us one H–L of a series….I enjoyed every minute of it…up to the last few minutes when Calgary lost!!! …. :-[
J-Lynn I too am so sad about the Calgary flames loss but I will have to give them credit for all the negative feedback that the team was not a winner because in my eyes they are a hell of a team and I will be cheering for them again next year although may I say that they will be first right after the Vancouver Canucks next year…… :-)
Relax, mr.69…. i too wanted them to win.
they got robbed last game.. with that goal.. imho.
there is always next year…
GO AVS!! jk!
You said it maggiemae!
They may not have won, but it was one heck of a ride…..
Thanks FLAMES, you did us proud…….
Gouche is right.. The flames did awesome.
I think they shoulda won it in Game 6 they out played TB that game, just got the unlucky breaks. Like the 1st goal was shot from behind the net.
& the last goal in over time.. I do not see how the goal never saved that. Did he jump out of the way?
Not to mentions Richards 2nd goal of the game. Calgary on the penalty kill and 3 / 4 players were along the boards with the puck. Small lack of judgement, which the anouncer even said b4 the goal.
oh… what the heck… :)
i was overjoyed to see the team with the better talent finally prevail in the playoffs. (at least it showed the regular season DOES mean something.) it was great seeing dave andreychuk get a cup. i was happy for all the canadians who play for tampa, as i was for the many canadian fans of the team.

Boo! St. Rudy…. who invited you to our crying fest….. :o)
You are indeed correct, when you boil it all down does it really matter, most of the players are Canadian any way. It wouild have been nice to have the Cup itself back in Canada for a change tho'……
Yeah, it would have been nice. But Canadians can take some pride in knowing Tampa actually has more players on their roster from Canada than Calgary (19 for Tampa, 14 for Calgary). But as mentioned, for a team no one expected to get out of the first round they were amazing.

They were that indeed. I haven't watched as much hockey as I did in the past couple of months for quite a few years, well since the heydeys of Montreal, Edmonton and NY Islanders. This Calgary team made it interesting again….

I like to watch the stanley cup.. but i watched alot of play off games this year.!!
