can anyone explain to me "WHY?"
i have 7 $20 bills all in AU condition every time i try to enter then it tells me
"ERROR: You have entered an unknown serial number prefix. If you feel this to be an error, please contact the site administrator."
which i have contacted (when i only had 2 of these $) that was a few weeks ago and am still waiting for a responce.
does anyone know about serial #'s ayp047—-
i've checked them out closely and even put them under the black light, they look legit to all the inspections i put them threw……… could they be an error on the part of the bank of canada?
If dr hasn't added them to the prefix list yet.. maybe he is just running behind..
he was also out of town for a few days. I am sure DR will get to it ASAP.

I dont think AYP is a valid serial prefix for a 20. I think its a fake. =S
What makes you say that MmmBeer? We've already seen AYMs and AYNs, so why not AYP? Seems logical enough given that O is often skipped, except in the case of AWO and EWOs. Currently the $5s went from HNN to HNP and I'm sure Paul Wallis' site may have more information on such sightings, though I haven't checked it in awhile.

i've entered up to AYM in $20, I've black lighted them and looked VERY thoughly at them…..
before i started CMT i got caught with a counterfit $50 i kept insisting that they make sure, they took a sponge and dribbled water on it, to my suprize the ink ran right off…….
let's say it was a lesson learnt, so now i check carefully and if i think it might be i don't enter it or stamp in, just send it on it's merry way
I had a chance to go through the <a href="http://www.cdnpapermoney.com/"target="_blank">CPM forums, particularily the ones dealing with prefixes on the $20s and yes they're out.
that may be a documented fact now but i still can't enter the ones that i have
stamp them. write down the serial # & condition.. & spend them!!!
you will eventually get to enter them.

i've got them stamped but didn't want to spend them till i got them entered……it's a warped way of saveing money
