Where are they?

It's been two weeks since my last hit. PLEASE…SOMEBODY FIND ONE!

actually i had two hits tonight, 12 or 13 days ago since my last one!

Hits are coming slow..
Many other people having this problem.. ??
June had 200 less hits than April..
Probably nearly everyone is suffering a little.

There does seem to be a general downward trend. May had less hits than April, and June had less hits than May. Do you have an explanation? Possibly it is related to summer and people spending less time inside at their computers? Or maybe awareness of the site has grown to the point that we no longer pick up so many of the curious.

So far, (knock on wood) I have been getting the usual. No big bursts but steady ones and have rarely missed a day. a few back dated ones which bug me cause then it says 5 days since last hit even if I had 3 that day.

I wonder if a lot of older bills have been pulled out of circulation lately.

My bank said that they were short of 5s a couple of weekends ago and had to get a lot in from the other branches that weren't open on Saturdays.

Plus they said that ALL of the older 100s are being pulled as soon as they come into the bank, regardless of condition. This is to facilitate getting the new series into general circulation.

and if they take all the $20's out of curculation for the new ones in Aug.. then I will be in deep.. Dudu

YOUR RIGHT I TOOK 40 OLD 100'S TO MY BANK AND DEPOSITED THEM AND WAS TOLD BY THE TELLER THAT WOULD BE THE LAST I SAW OF THOSE BILLS AS THEY ARE ONLY PUTTING OUT THE NEW ONES. WHAT A WASTE AS THEY HAVE SO MUCH LIFE LEFT IN THEM AS 100'S ARE SELDOM SPENT IN THE STORE. HAD I HAD MORE TIME I WOULD HAVE TAKEN THEM TO THE CASINO FOR CHANGE AND PUT ALL 5'S INTO MY ACCOUNT. SPARE TIME IS IN SHORT SUPPLY RIGHT NOW SO MISSED OUT ON A GOOD OPPORTUNITY.

That is a shame. I still see the odd 1989 series $10 floating around, though its been a few months, and there are definitely not many 1986 $5s around anymore. It makes sense that they want to facilitate bringing in the newer bills, but if an older bill has some miles left on it, it ought to be let go. Just my two cents.

CONVERT ALL YOUR MONEY INTO 5'S THAT WILL DRIVE THE BANKERS CRAZY (A SHORT TRIP FOR MOST OF THEM).
WE ARE GETTING A NEW 20??? I THOUGHT THEY WERE GOING TO WAIT UNTIL THE QUEEN DIED BEFORE THEY RE ISSUED THE 20'S.

I agree gene, but i guess with the $100 bills.. they would be more prone to have people counterfitting the $100's than $5's or $10's and the New $100 bills are pretty near impossible to counterfit..

As I said it is coming out in Aug.. According to Canadian paper money web site.. or was it Bank of Canada… Hmm not sure.

At least once a week I get a dozen or so 1954 100$. I did inquire about pulling them out of circulation, however, I was told not too.. Of course I wouldnt do that anyway, so I called a few people who I knew collected them, as they were mighty fine condition (crispy actually), and they gladly took them out of my circulation for me.

I am still waiting for my first 1000$ to come in!!

True enough about the $100s, LC. It'll be interesting to see the new $20s and $50s when they are launched.

And don't forget about the introduction of the $5 coin. Bronze coloured with a 7.2 cm diameter.

It sounds like you need a little bite of encouragment to hang in there as the HIT GODS are just takin a breather right now, But dont despare they are carefully choosing the next luck person to scoop up one of your bills possibly from afar. Wait, i think i see the HIT GODS selecting now and in just 2 short days now you shall have that long awaited HIT.

The Bank of Canada website says there won't be a $5 coin just yet, and I didn't find anything on the Royal Canadian Mint site either. Are the websites just behind on this topic?

$5 coin. LOL :-) I like getting people started on that because it seems like a plausable thing for the Bank to do. Plus, I have a medallion of the size and type I described with the map of Canada on one side. Sometimes I take it to the store, and if people start complaining about all the coin, I show them the 'prototype' for the new $5 coin.

BTW, I finally had 2 hits yesterday. One was local, and the other from NFLD, my fifth hit in that province.

I am still waiting for my first hit beyond Ontario… A hit in BC would be nice one of these days too… :o(

Sarge I really do think there has been a downward trend with the hits. At least for me. I am lucky if I have 3 a day now and excited if there are 3 or more as was the case some months ago. But while you are out and about look for my little doggie…..thx :-)
