RIGHT NOW I LOG MY BILL LIMIT QUITE OFTER AND MY HIT RATIO IS VERY LOW. NOW IF I LOWER IN ENTRY RATE DOWN TO ONLY 10 BILLS PER DAY … WILL THIS HURT ME IN THE LONG RUN BUT INCREASE MY HIT RATIO. OR AM I BETTER TO ENTER MY LIMIT AND LET THE RATIO CATCH UP. WOULD THE RATIO GO HIGHER IF I SWITCHED FROM 5'S TO 20'S ??? WHAT DO YOU ALL THINK … I WANT TO SEE MY RATIO GO UP?

Unfortunately for me. They will be putting out a new $20 bill this year. . What happens to my $20's..
Your Hit ratio can never go past a cetain point if you enter you maximum bills per day, but you will eventually start getting enuff hits to make your hit ratio go up substantially. if your lucky.
All hits are based upon a certain amount of luck if you haven't already noticed that.
I would just enter enough bills to keep your score up. Your hit ratio will go up accordingly with your " hit-luck ratio " Adjust your bills when you reach your target hit ratio %. Keep in mind you have 10,794 bills so if you want 10% you will need another 641 hits as you have 438 at the time I wrote this. Of course this is only my humble opinion . Good luck BANKCOLLECTOR :-)

If you want your ratio to go up, it is based on total bills entered compared to hits, the more you enter, the lower your ratio, but don't stop entering, if you want your ratio to go up, the only way would be to enter lots of bills first (to get the hits), and then just enter enough to keep your score the same, and then wait for the hits.
Problem is, is that the more bills you have entered, the more hits. Kind of a paradox.
Personally, I gave up on the hit ratio part of the score. I still keep track of it in my profile, but there is no way you will be top 10 if you have lots of bills entered. All someone has to do is enter one bill, get one hit, and their ratio is 100%, we will never get that with the amount we all have entered.

BC, if you want to see your hit percentage increase quickly enter only a couple bills per day.
BUT, since you are hopelessly addicted (not unlike myself), enter all you've got and your hit percentage will increase over time. Mine used to be pretty crappy but now it's up around the 17% mark and slowly getting up there even though I still enter lots of bills.
Also, fives circulate a lot quicker than the other denoms, so you'll most likely receive a higher hit ratio on them.
