Well, check this hit out. From a lounge, to a porno movie, to a cold beer and wine store. We certainly do know where people are spending their money.

You're not from east-end Vancouver are you?
"You're not from east-end Vancouver are you?"
Never been, what's there Anglofrog? Are you familar with the area?
Jade, you're from B.C. Don't you watch the news? It says exactly what the east end is.
i actually prefer not to watch the news, I think that it is to biased, and mostly just negative. I have only been to Vancouver twice, and I am not from BC, only just moved here recently. But I finally asked someone today. Sorry I am not so informed.
Sorry, I didn't mean to capitalize on your naitivety, or to poke fun, well ya I did, but I meant no harm. I used to live in BC, in fact I lived in PoCo (born in NewWest-the place is still the same, sad to say). I returned years later and worked at the post office downtown. I also lived in Burnaby for a bit but I found it quite boring. East-end Vancouver is Canada's poorest postal code, skid row, needles and condoms oh my! I lived in quite a few places in Canada and I feel you really cannot judge someone from where they lived. To a point.
As for the news, I can't help it, my husband is a news junkie and its in my face, 24-7.
BTW, you live on the Mainland or in the Interior. Or are you on the island? Just wondered. If you just moved here you'll get used to the rain real quick starting in Oct/Nov and cherry blossoms by feb. I miss it.
I actually live in Kamloops in the interior, it is semi-desert, probably one of the driest places in BC. Wish I was on the island though or some place with rain, so does my bf, so we will see where we end up. I am sorry about your husbands addiction, but I guess it is better than soap operas :) thanks for the info.
