Everyone come and visit Vancouver Island. I got 3 differnt reasons:

  1. I am the only person from the Island on the site and we need more people.
  2. There is lots of great scenery like trees and ountains and lots and lots of vegetation, exactly not like the prairies.
  3. I need to get some hits!!

So come and visit this great island!

I am in the late spring.. About June/Julyish.. Im going to the island (driving), from Calgary, than taking another farrey to Alaska.. Ive been to the island before and went to bouchard Gardens, nanimo, Victoria, etc.

Are you getting paid to advertise for the government to get tourists out there?

kaiser

Ya right! Do you even know about the B.C. Government? IN the last 5 years they've killed the provence. Glad I'm leaving. I just want some hits.

I was out to Comox about a year and a half ago. Loved the area and the drive up. (Highway was too busy in areas though)

HOGGS

there is an Island out there that prints its own money read about it in the national post maybe they want to know how to track it

Saltspring Island. Neet place to visit. Valdy lives there. Got a neet story about Valdy I'll tell you sometime…

The Saltspring Island ferry goes to Crofton. I've been there. Want to get some of there money. It is a great Island. The only good way there is through Crofton. So go there and spend some money in Crofton! Then I'll get them.

Besides its just a little cold out in Alberta. Just -3 in Edmonton and Calgary isn't better. However in Crofton its +15. LOL

Not quite print their own money, but use what human resources they already have. The way they see it, money is so impersonal, a dollar dropped is now someone else's dollar. The 'money' they use is a means to an end. They do use cash because eventually taxes must be paid. One example, say you took your car to the garage and it would cost $500 to repair it. You don't have $500, but you have some of it, say $300, and you are willing to put your skills to good use and maybe knit sweaters, do yardwork, make kitchen cabinets, do some book keeping, whatever you can do that is of value to pay the bill. Records are kept, money tracking could be used on the Canadian currency, but I don't think it would be a priority to them.

I saw this on the CBC the other day. In Courtney BC because there is such a high unemployment rate, 25%, they had to rethink their local economy. Its quite ideal, that's what I love about BC, always ready to try something different. Now if they would only put washrooms on the Skytrain.

You think Courtney's bad. Right now our crappy government is having a Native Referendum thats peeing everyone off. Its all over the local B.C. channels. Its just absoulutly pathetic.

ANGLOFROG

I'm not sure I seee anything wrong with their communal LET'S system, then again I'm not over there to hear all the good and the bad. What about this Native Referendum, we don't hear anything over here. I left in 1997, it couldn't have gotten that bad.

kaiser

Its been pathetic since we idiots elected Campbell and the Liberals over the Green Party. Campbell is worse than Dosanjh. Read the Vancouver Sun or The Provence on-line if you have the time and it will tell lots.

cashier
