probably get there about supper time.
Good chance of going to fuddruckers for supper.
leaving in the afternoon Saterday.

just so you know, the mean prevailing wind direction in saskatoon is between west and northwest(source: canadian climate normals), so that ain't the south you're smelling. i'd check a little closer to home for the source of that fetid pungency.

well, as much as i hate to be a wet blanket, i have to throw some more facts at you. the current and former premiers of this fair province have been from saskatoon – so trace what offends your olfactory THERE. as well, regina is at a HIGHER elevation than saskatoon (577m vs. 501m) so if anything, the stench would have to emanate from the lower elevation. really… you need to be more creative in your city-bashing or else it just appears to be jealousy. :)

Can't abide people who throw facts and logic into a good old-fashioned mudslinging! Talk about spoil-sports! :-)

I am originally from there and rather like the place. Most of my family still live there. The important ones anyhow.

Other than how curtious people are for driving in S'toon.
From being in Saskatoon as much as I am.
People in Saskatoon are much higher in their self persona, & alot less friendly than people in Regina are.
BC said best thing about visiting Regina is leaving.
I say the same thing about Saskatoon, as many people from Saskatoon are much more ARROGENT & POMPUS.
I am not saying all people are, but in general a higher percentage of people from Saskatoon are arrogent & pompus than people from Regina.

i'm not going to agree with you LC…. mainly as to not inflame the debate. it is almost a certainty that two proximate settlements of a similar status will have a strong rivalry. you get it between regina and saskatoon, you get it between estevan and weyburn, you get it between melfort and tisdale. it is tied into our sense of place and territoriality. it's completely natural. however, one thing that i have noticed and i remember john gormley doing a show on this, is that it seems a lot more people in saskatoon bash regina than the other way around. maybe it is THAT to which you refer (re: arrogance). i don't know what it is…. but i know that we could toss crap back and forth til the cows come home. i'd much rather turn my animosity, as pooga suggested, outside the province. :) besides…. we can do that with relative impunity since those arrogant easterners would never read our forum! down with toronto!!! :)

I doubt if any real or legitimate statistics exist to determine if Regina is more arrogant or pompous than Saskatoon OR vice-versa. Therefore, any statements made to claim either point of view are nonsense, and a waste of bandwith.
