Here is a question for all you "experienced" trackers.

How do you get a good flow of notes without being overly pesky or making people suspicious (you know what I mean)?

J-Lynn

Geesh, why couldnt I bee your teller ?

i dont know what the big deal is. so many have commented how the evil looks from tellers start when asking for specific denominations.

Depends on what kind of flow you are looking for..
Some people don't care about being suspicious & get all $5 from the bank.
I track my money as I would normally spend it.
When I do go to the bank I ask for $20 in $5's in $50 in $10's then the rest in $20's
but usually I just take my $20's from the machine Mark & spend Mark & spend the change.
When I go to the casino I ask for $50 in $5's & $10's
then the rest in $20's
I think Rudy tries to do the same as I do.
Track the money he would naturally get though transactions.
As Dr would proabably attest to. He would like people's natural flow of $ be tracked.. Not just have all $5's which have the greatest chance of getting hits.

Some of the people on the site run business's which see more money flow though their hands & are lucky.

Today I cashed a check & asked for $30 in $5's & $60 then the rest in $20's.
she gave me 15 -$5 and 16 - $10 then the rest in $20
she must have heard me wrong and thought i said 13 $5's which wouldn't have allowed for an even $20 amount.
so she gave me 2 more.. and $60 in $10's hearing sixteen $10's
.. Oh well
more bills to mark.. But less change.

No evil look though..

well, LC, i have noted long ago that we have similar distributions of denominations in our statistics. the $20 is the basic unit of our currency and i've not shied from them or made effort to get smaller denominations. the way i have always looked at it – you spend a $20…. get $17 in change… stamp the $10 and $5… spend the $10, get a $5 in change. you have increased your total stamped by $40 by circulating $20. you could have gotten all $5s to start with but then you've only stamped 4 bills and 20 bucks. it's a natural flow of money but there is no way i have actually HAD as much money as i've stamped. and no worries about crotchety old tellers (not that i KNOW many of THOSE… :) ).

the only change in my behaviour that i've noted is that i will use 20s for smaller purchases, just to get the change – but i've always had a fetish for change anyway (coin collector!). oh, and i often get $35 or $55 from the bank machine at my workplace (it gives 5s!), whereas before my "addiction" i'd get $40 or $60. consequently, my total of 5s entered has only recently surpassed my total of 20s.

BUT… this topic should probably be in the General forum…
