instead of working like I was supposed to be doing, I had a though. Oh no!! LOL anyhow wouldn't it be neat if money were somehow coded so that it had to be scanned for most major businesses? and we could find out by the numbers on it where it actually was by going to a web site? like I said, it was just a thought.
I think you should write a letter to the Bank of Canada with your suggestion.
(Just what we need 'Bar Coded Bills', then we can all run out and buy a Bar Code Reader, MORE TOYS TO HOOK UP TO THE COMPUTER, YAHOO!!!)
never thought about that part. sure would make entering bills easy! and it would eliminate a lot of counterfeit ones. it a machine rejected it then the business could have the right not to accept it and the person would have to take it to a bank for exchange if it is real. sure would keep bills in better condition if people had to have them in good shape. downside though, they might not be accepted with writing. so we would all have to work on stealth hits.
it would really piss off the drug dealers :)
and while we're at it… why not just have a sub-dural implant that is linked to our work and financial institutes so that everything can be accounted for! and then maybe we could connect it to a GPS so that anyone who really NEEDS to know where we are can track us and then maybe surveillance cameras could see our every action and then when we reach a certain age our implant could release a quick acting neural suppressant and we'd just expire…
of course, the implant would have to pulse red in the final weeks…
oh, waitaminnit…. i think i saw that movie… :)
perk toys? sounds good to me.. and yes.. great for voyeurs, antics… lol ummm ok..
now.. antics, since you brought it up, I think you should suggest it to BofC.. and maybe input your idea on the invention site.
Hey Rudyk, which movie was that? Sounds like one I'd like to watch!
It's called Logan's Run, from 1976!
There's a sci-fi book along that line too. Called "Oath of Fealty" by Jerry Pournelle. Administrators of a giant condo (fifty stories tall, a mile on a side, quarter million inhabitants) communicate with each other and the condo computer using an implant that is sort of a cell phone and GPS.
CJ's on the money with the one that was brought to MY mind while writing that but sarge's sounds like a real page-turner… and an homage to logan's!
